25-year-old man arrested for allegedly shooting at 2 Tulare County teenagers, deputies say

A Farmersville man is in custody, accused of shooting at two teenagers earlier this year.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrested 25-year-old Jose Hernandez Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened on May 25 on East Court Street near Outer Drive in the community of Linnell Camp, which is just outside of Visalia.

Authorities say a 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl were driving after attending church when Hernandez allegedly shot at their car several times.

One bullet hit the girl's headrest but no one was injured in the shooting.

Deputies say Hernandez is a documented gang member and was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held on charges of attempted murder with gang enhancement.
