
Omaha police found two people seriously injured with gunshot wounds after responding to a nearby 'shots fired' call. Just before midnight on Friday, officers responded to multiple 911 calls near 49th Avenue and Caldwell Street, Lt. Sean Sheridan said. Sheridan said officers did not find any victims in the area. About five minutes later, police responded to a call about a person bleeding at the QuikTrip near Northwest Radial Highway and Hamilton Street, according to Sheridan. Before police arrived, the person left. Sheridan said he believes officers found two victims of a shooting near 40th and Nicholas streets. The victims were sent to the hospital with serious injuries but are expected to be OK. Investigators have not confirmed if the three scenes are related. No arrests have been made.
