2 injured in Christmas Day shooting in North Philadelphia

Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured early Christmas morning in North Philadelphia.

The gunfire erupted just before 5 a.m. on the 3500 block of Germantown Avenue.

One victim, an adult male, was hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest. A second male victim was treated for gunshot wounds to the arm and ankle and is listed in stable condition, police said.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.

There was no word on whether any arrests were made.
