1 dead in north Sacramento shooting, police say

A man was fatally shot Thursday morning in north Sacramento, officials said. Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. to the 2000 block of West El Camino Avenue in the south Natomas area after receiving reports of a possible shooting. Upon arrival, a man was found with at least one gunshot wound, the police department said.The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and died from his injuries. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are on scene.
