1 dead in Land Park shooting, Sacramento police say
A man was fatally shot Thursday morning and found in Sacramento's Land Park area, officials said.Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched around 1 a.m. to the 1400 block of 13th Avenue in the Land Park neighborhood, near the Land Park Playground and Doc Oliver Field, after receiving a request from the Sacramento Fire Department regarding a car crash.Upon arrival, officers found a man in a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the police department said.It is unclear if he was shot in the park. KCRA 3 is working to gather more details.Homicide detectives are investigating.
