Man killed in south Sacramento shooting, police say
One man was killed in a shooting in south Sacramento Thursday night, according to the police department. Officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 9:30 p.m. on Meadowview Road near 24th Street. Sacramento police said the victim was found with at least one gunshot wound. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are investigating what led up to the shooting.The westbound lanes of Meadowview Lane are expected to remain closed for several hours as detectives investigate the homicide.Officials have not yet identified the victim or provided any suspect information. KCRA 3 has been tracking homicides in the city of Sacramento.
